hello, I'm a journalism graduate who has been studying the war since 1991. Despite all my research, I still am more confused every day. I have been helping a Bosnian refugee family from Bosanska Gradiska since last winter, that has been the most helpful of anything I have done. I fear for the rest of my "family's" family, they are still in the Bihac area as far as I know (or they know, for that fact). I'm saddened by the fact that this family had to be taken from their home and thrust into a situation and a language they don't understand. Fortunately, they are learning, especially the youngest son who learns more English from television than school. I'm completely amazed with their hospitality and openess to accept me, a stranger and an American, into their lives. I hope this is being read by someone who is there, and knows that some of us are doing what we can, even if it is just going to a family's house every week to help them with their English. Although my knowledge of the news has made me cynical, with a treaty or a ultimatum broken every day, but I still hope for the people of Sarejevo and beyond... Mir, Nikki
